Understanding Lumbar disc herniation

Lumbar disc herniation is a condition in which the spongy material in the center of a spinal disc (nucleus) is squeezed out of its original space due to an injury or wear and tear 
on the Anulus that surrounds it.  

It can effect most anyone, but most often  affects individuals between 30 and 40 years old, and leads to throbbing pain and inflammation in the lower back, and sometimes down one or both legs.
